In the field of Environmental Architecture, Arcoplan has authored numerous contributions in national and international scientific books and journals. Notably, the Studio contributed a chapter on territorial functionality and sustainable landfill architecture for a Volume published by Cisa Publisher.
Sustainable landfilling involves managing significant volumes of material that require land use. Within the framework of the Circular Economy, this use of space is optimized by prioritizing volume minimization, land reclamation, and the creation of new territorial functionalities. Furthermore, the Studio authored a contribution on the functional and landscape reuse of landfills for the volume Solid Waste Landfilling (Elsevier), which is internationally recognized as a definitive reference text for landfill design.
For the journals Detritus and RI-VISTA, Arcoplan managed the selection of works, the peer-review process, and the editing for two monographic issues entirely dedicated to Waste Architecture, featuring projects ranging from territorial to urban and peri-urban scales.
